I would therefore like to download version 4.1.5 or 4.1.6 of the GlobalProtect Client to test it before updating the saying that the GlobalProtect Client is available for download from the Support Portal, which I have access to, but I couldn't find a download link for it. GlobalProtect VPN provides a secure and encrypted tunnel between your device and the CSU network that enforces the use of recent, more secure operating system versions. I would like to see if a more recent version of the GlobalProtect Client will work with version 7.0.7 of the PAN-OS. CSU provides secure off-campus access to on-campus resources via the GlobalProtect gateway, also known as a Virtual Private Network (VPN). ![]() Right now, we are serving version 3.0.3 of the GlobalProtect Client. So, you can generate your certificate on the Palo Alto firewall or you can use any certificate which is signed by any of the CA authority. ![]() As such, I control the version of the GlobalProtect Client from the appliance. To configure the GlobalProtect VPN, you must need a valid root CA certificate. I'm new to Palo Alto and have understood that the GlobalProtect Client is made available through the appliance itself through an Internet-facing portal. I am currently running version 7.0.7 of the PAN-OS on a PA-3000 Series Firewall (HA pair) and I wish to perform an incremental update to 7.1 but have concerns regarding the GlobalProtect Client.
